Amp Agent Map

Amp is an AI coding agent that does its work on its own cloud machine instead of your laptop. What sets it apart:

  • Runs in the cloud. Each task (a thread) gets a fresh machine, called an orb, with your code and tools set up. It keeps working when you close your laptop and pauses when done.
  • Proves its work. The agent runs your app and tests its changes, then shows screenshots or a live preview.
  • Many at once, from anywhere. Run several threads in parallel and check in from the web, a Mac, an iPhone or a terminal. A built-in assistant, Puck, can start and track them for you.
  • Models chosen for you. Amp picks the AI models; you only set how hard it should work.

The map reads top to bottom: the apps you steer with, then the work itself, the machine it runs on, and how changes reach your code. Click any box for details, or walk through one task from start to finish.
